Welcome to Our Library!
The library at Madoc Public School is a colorful, welcoming room that houses our large collection of fiction, non-fiction and picture books for K-8. With two separate reading areas, and tables to accommodate a full class, the space is well suited to many learning activities.
The library is staffed on Days 1 and 2 and 3 by our library technician, Ms. Bowen. During those days our classes visit the library for book exchange, storytime, and literacy activities. The library is used throughout the week for book buddies, class visits and silent reading.
Library Books and Routines
Students in grades K-3 are allowed to check out one book. Students in grades 4-8 are allowed to check out two books at a time. The majority of classes visit every week to exchange books and Ms. Bowen reads to the primary classes during their visit. Overdue notices are sent out on a regular basis. If your child has lost a book, please contact Ms. Bowen on Day 1, 2 or 3 to arrange for payment or replacement.
